Like most things with Amazon, the license for the software is determined by the publisher and browsing through the new store is pretty much the same as any other part of Amazon. Nonetheless, you've now got another way to quickly and easily buy software online for your Mac, and Amazon's even giving you $5 off your first purchase to try it out.
